Lamar County Appraisal District lobby is open to the public from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Monday through Friday except for posted holidays or other events. Property owners are encouraged to utilize online resources to file applications or submit renditions . Property tax payments can also be paid online or by mail. When visiting the office in-person, please remember to use common sense and wise judgment regarding good health practices.
Lamar County Appraisal District (LCAD) reserves the right, in accordance with the recommended guidelines from the DSHS, to make changes within the LCAD office that are in the interest of public health safety. It is the individual’s responsibility to not enter public places if they are exhibiting symptoms. Anyone exhibiting symptoms outlined in the DSHS protocols may be asked to conduct LCAD business online, through the US Postal Service or over the phone.
Customers are encouraged to continue utilizing online resources, email or telephone to conduct their business with the appraisal district. Individuals should periodically check our website for breaking news on the Districts day to day operations.

The Appraisal District is giving public notice of the capitalization rate to be used each year to appraise property receiving an exemption under Section 11.1825 of the Property Tax Code for Organizations Constructing or Rehabilitating Low-Income Housing: Property Not Previously Exempt.
2022 LOW INCOME HOUSING CAPITALIZATION RATE: 9.00% – 10.50%

In observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday our office will be closed Thursday, November 25th & Friday 26th, we will reopen for regular business hours on Monday, November 29th. In observance of the Christmas Holiday our office will be closed Thursday, December 23rd, Friday, December 24th and Monday, December 27th.
